He's off to New Mexico

Our second family (Tony and Barbara Lowry) were able to make it to the airport to see Garrett off. They were in Salt Lake for General Conference. Tony went up behind Garrett and gave him a big bear hug. Sister Kessler was a bit shocked but then Garrett excitedly said, "Grandpa Tony." He called us via their phone and we got to talk for a bit. It was great to hear his voice. He is excited for warm weather, good food, and to get out on his mission. I am so excited for him. How I miss that kid.

Itinerary

Saturday April 1, 2017

I leave on Monday at like 4:50am and conference should be good. Would you let mom know that I have a letter for her. Just finding the stamps that she sent me is holding it up, oh well it'll get to her soon enough. This week was filled with classes like every other day and we taught investigators in the trc. That was cool but also a little nerve racking to do it. From day 3 to the last day of normal class, yesterday was this big class like thing that had lessons and a play on it. It was interesting and avid learning experience. We went to the temple again on Thursday. I've gone 4 times now and I always get something out of it, it's really kinda cool. Conference starts at 10 so I'm going to go and try and do some Landry because today was normally my  p day.  Love you

Yes, I did delete your email by mistake and I know it is kind of weird to think I've been gone over a week. Yes there is one person going to my mission and her name is Sister Kessler. She is also in my district. We leave April 3rd the Wednesday after conference. Every week we have two devotionals. One on Sunday and one on Tuesday. We got one from Elder Zwick and that was awesome. We also watched a devotional from Elder Bednar at Christmas time and it was so good. Sadly the only place they show it is the MTC. I wish you could see it. For how my week has been there is one picture  to describe it. Ill send it to you when I get it.

The weather has been all over the place. Its been beautiful and rainy and overcast and warm and overcast. Its been all over the place. This is a picture of me and my companion Elder Hellander (just like its spelled. That's all I got for this week. Love you all.

Sincerely

March 25, 2017 to Dad

Time here goes by so fast and so slow at the same time and its crazy. I'm glad the family is doing good, that is an answer to my prayers. My ah ha moment, oh there is so many I can't even remember all of them. One that I do remember  is that there is so many little things that happened in order to make this church and this country. So much but so little and its amazing. The conversations me and my roommates have, they get so deep from us just starting out by saying jokes and everything and they can be related to the Lord. It is so cool. And teaching is so cool. We all get the chance to teach someone and get them to baptism. We did it, me and my companion. I sent you guys pictures of it and most of the other pictures I've gotten or was a part of. Would you have mom send her email again I kinda deleted it by mistake, woops and yea I've made the switch to being called Elder.
That's really all I've done but I'll send you my schedule for the week so you can see
I love you guys and thanks

Sincerely
Elder Dubois

A Friendly Face

I saw Donnie Bob (Donny and Vanessa Whitcomb) at the temple today.
